Located at an altitude of 996 meters with a height difference of 276 meters, this paragliding site is frequently used and offers thermal soaring opportunities with some potential for cross-country (XC) flights. The site is rated as medium-easy. Training is conducted here, and there is a shuttle service between the take-off and landing zones. Alternatively, you can drive to the site, park along the roadside, and walk for about 10 minutes. The shuttle uses a private road that gets you closer to the take-off area. The take-off is situated on a 300-meter-high ridge directly above the landing zone. The east-facing launch allows for early thermal entry. The take-off is easy to medium in difficulty, with some strong thermal releases. An elevation gain of around 300 meters is sufficient to connect with the Serra de Queralt ridge behind. Be cautious of strong west winds, as the lee side of the front ridges can extend to the take-off area. You can also hike up from the landing zone, which takes about 30-40 minutes. Top landing is not recommended. Experienced pilots can use this site as a starting point for long-distance flights into the higher regions of the Pyrenees. From the Primera Maria launch, gaining just 300 meters in altitude allows you to transition to the Serra de Queralt ridge. Once there, you can climb to the cloud base and continue further into the mountains. The site is also easily accessible by car. However, direct access is restricted, requiring a walk of about 1000 meters from the parking area to the take-off field. The take-off area is spacious and suitable for winds from the northwest and east, making it beginner-friendly. The landing zone is approximately 650 meters away and visible to the east.
