    Erics (Racetrack) - Sumba Erics features powerful left-breaking waves over a sharp coral reef, ideal for experienced surfers. The wave starts to peak at around 1.8 meters (6 feet) of swell, breaking approximately 300 meters offshore. It can hold large sizes but has a dangerous inside section, making it essential to be cautious. This surf spot is known for its challenging conditions, requiring a significant swell to work effectively. While it can be empty during the week, the waves are not always consistent, demanding patience from surfers. The best conditions occur with a southwest swell and favorable wind from the southeast, east, or northeast. Access involves a short 5-15 minute walk from the main left point at Kallala. Be prepared for a thrilling experience, but always respect the power of the ocean and the sharp rocks beneath.
